Medical AREOLA & NIPPLE tattooing

What is areola tattooing?

When we think of tattooing, we think of decorating the body. This form of tattooing is using art to heal. I am a specially trained artist that restore the breast to their most natural looking form, through tattooing.
For some breast cancer survivors, nipple-areola tattoos can be an important final step in the reconstruction process. It can be rather transformative and a finish line for those who have gone through not only the mastectomy but breast cancer as a whole.

"My initial thoughts were that I don't really need the tattooing, but my doctor told me that it would make a huge difference in the way I look and feel. He was more right, this was the easiest procedure and the best thing I did." - C.S.

(386) 601-4129

300 N Entrance Rd. Suite 15

Sanford, FL 32771

What to expect?

98% of the time, there is no pain in the reconstructed breast. For the other 2% I will apply a topical anesthetic so there is little to no pain.

I will work with you to determine color and size by first drawing impermanently on the area. Once the color and size are agreed upon, the artist will create dimension with color and shading, giving you a realistic nipple and areola.

The area will be covered with dressings and you will be given your aftercare instructions.

FAQ

Can I proceed to normal activity after this procedure?

There is no down time with this procedure, so you should be able to resume your normal activities right away. However, there are a few restrictions: No vigorous exercise for the first 24 hours and no soaking in any bathtubs, swimming pools or jacuzzis for at least 7 days after.

Will the needle puncture my implant?

No, the needle only goes into the dermis which is just 3 layers into the skin.

Can I improve the scarring on my breast?
Depending on what your scars look like, they may be camouflaged. This process works best for hypopigmentated scars that are lighter in color than surrounding skin.

How long will it last?

Most of the initial fading will happen in the first two weeks. Unless exposed to the sun, your tattoo should last a lifetime.
